Chicks for Easter

Chicks for Easter

Ms Daly and the boys and girls in third class have successfully incubated some eggs. There has been much excitement in the school as children from the junior and senior classes paid a visit to the newly hatched chicks. Great care was taken to ensure that the chicks were given the best chance of life. When the boys and girls first noticed the eggs beginning to crack, they focused their camera on the tiny incubator. What a wonderful treat to watch new life emerging before our eyes.

Confirmation 2012

Confirmation 2012

The boys and girls in sixth class recently received the sacrament of Confirmation in our local church. Since September huge amounts of work has been done in preparation. With their teachers the children have explored the fruits and gifts of the Holy Spirit, the meaning of the sacraments as well as many prayers and hymns. It is an important step in their faith journey and we wish the boys and girls and their families all the very best. Thank you to Ms. Heslin, Ms. Lee, Mr. Stapleton and Mr. Thynne for all their hard work. The boys and girls in third class provided the music on the day and are to be congratulated for their efforts.
